Today marks 31 years since Ukraine achieved independence from the Soviet Union. In honor of a free and sovereign Ukraine, we are proud to launch an exclusive collection of tees and caps created in collaboration with French artist Thomas Lélu.

Using the traditional Ukrainian flag colors (blue and yellow), for this project Lélu designed 3 t-shirts and 2 caps using the slogans “Free Ukraine” and “I stand with Ukraine”, written in both English and Ukrainian, all screen printed on 100% GOTS certified organic cotton.

We have always been keen to use our platforms for causes close to our heart. Since the war started we have donated to various charities and shared extensive informative content to encourage our community to donate.
Working first hand with Ukrainian creatives, we have set out to find the best organizations that truly help the Ukrainian people caught in this war.

The organizations chosen here are Help Ukraine Center and Kyiv Angels for their daily actions on the ground.  All proceeds from the sale of this capsule collection will be donated directly to them in support of their efforts. 
In the month following the capsule launch, customers will also be able to select the option to donate at checkout to these specific charities separated over a four week period. Any donation generously made by our customers will be matched by The Frankie Shop.

With regards to creating artwork for our tees, Lélu explained, “I step in and put the world on a time-out, and try to offer a different outlook or shake up perspectives. I do this because that's what I look for in the artists I admire: the ability to challenge myself, wake me up or to shake me to my core”.

Giving back has always been at the forefront of Frankie’s ‘raison d’être’, whether fighting for women’s rights, injustices around the world or climate disasters  – We will continue to use our platforms to support charitable organizations.
